At the heart of the Republic of Cyprus, the Municipality of Germasogeia is moving decisively towards the implementation of an ambitious spatial planning project, the Linear Park of Germasogeia, which aims to highlight the area as a reference point for regional development and sustainable urban design. This project is integrated within the framework of the Cohesion Policy Program "THALIA 2021 – 2027", with the gracious co-funding of the European Union.
The Municipality of Germasogeia invites the public to a special presentation of the spatial planning ideas of the Linear Park of Germasogeia and the architectural designs of the first phase (sea – Medieval bridge) on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at the Hunters Park "SAVVA SAVVA", located on Potamias street in Germasogeia.
The presentation will be conducted by a specialized team from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Cyprus, headed by Dr. Loukas Dimitriou, Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Director of the Transportation Engineering Laboratory. This project is expected to be a significant step towards enhancing regional development and sustainability in the area, offering new opportunities for the local community and the wider region.
In an era where collaboration and collective effort are essential for addressing environmental and urban challenges, the support of the European Union plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable solutions and creating a bright future for Germasogeia and Cyprus as a whole.
